Can’t stop – this is probably the biggest daily feeling for AI creators. Working intensively from morning to night every day, trying to socialize a bit on content release days, then it’s on to the next piece. All tools are subscribed to on a monthly basis, and once paid for, they must be used completely, so there’s never a time to stop. Every day requires intense work – but is this intense work sustainable?
Moreover, new technology doesn’t wait for anyone. Just finished one piece after two weeks of work, and new technology arrives – like the current nano banana – requiring quick learning. Keeping up with new technology is a continuous process. Old technology must be immediately abandoned once it becomes outdated, and the nuances and feel of new technology must be mastered.
AI tools all have their unique characteristics. For instance, Veo3 is very natural when depicting characters, Hailuo can express fight scenes, Vidu is powerful with multiple parameters but produces blurry results, and I haven’t gotten hands-on with nano banana yet. However, all of them require long-term use to truly appreciate their characteristics and utilize them at the right moments.
I write and create AI videos every day. Writing is divided into preparation and main text phases, while video creation is divided into preparation and actual filming phases. Sometimes I experience procrastination – clearly having finished the preparation phase, but unable to put pen to paper. This happened to me two weeks ago because the content I needed to write was too difficult. However, since I have subscribed to all AI tools, I must move forward.
Creation brings happiness, but each time I start making a video, I’m met with a fear that certain scenes might be impossible to create. However, once they’re finally completed, I discover the magic of AI. For example, previously impossible two-person shots can now be easily accomplished with Nano Banana, enabling character interactions to be done effortlessly. Two-person interaction is a fundamental aspect of storytelling.
Tools evolve every week, and we’re like surfers riding the torrents of a new era. Nothing is eternal. Sometimes, works created become technically outdated after three months, but the thoughts behind creating them may last much longer. Every video I create exists within the framework of the Computational Universe worldview.
During intensive creation periods, such as the final minutes, when wanting to finish quickly without dragging it out for days, it means working from morning until midnight. After finishing a video, it feels like playing games all day, with that exhausted feeling from intense concentration for so long. But there’s also an inexplicable sense of satisfaction – probably because I’m already addicted to AI.
Why do I love AI? Because it makes all imagination possible. What was previously impossible has now become expressible. I still haven’t forgotten the sense of wonder when I first encountered it. This sense of wonder prompted me to delve deeply into this field. I’ve always wanted to visualize the novels I write, allowing audiences to watch directly.
For me, AI is comparable to magic.
I started writing my first blog post in 2005, then continued writing various novels until now – it’s been 20 years. My writing style hasn’t changed: my delicate portrayal of characters’ emotions, descriptions of heroes’ destinies, and epic stories – these are all characteristics of my writing. But since I’ve always written about fictional worlds, my works have a certain barrier to entry.
After AI visualization of my works, this barrier disappears. Audiences can directly experience the stories, immersing themselves in the world of the Computational Universe through various silent narratives and environmental character expressions. I plan to write in this world at least until retirement, if not until the very end. Long novel schedules extend to 2032.
For example, I just finished the AI video from last month. After a week of rest and other communications, I’m about to start the next cycle. The cycle begins with writing a short story, followed by preparing digital assets, then filming, and another month passes. There’s no time to stop.
AI has given me the opportunity to create, opening up a completely different experience. I’m not sure if it can help me achieve modern IP development across both novels and films – specifically, the launch of the Computational Universe. There are still too many uncertainties, but I love my current life. Being able to focus on creation is a kind of fortune.
I don’t know how long this lifestyle can continue, but it’s been a long time since I’ve been so wholeheartedly immersed in creation, seriously considering what the Computational Universe IP means to me. I said I would write it for a lifetime, and I hope my lifetime is still very long. Originally, the Computational Universe was a cold, computer science universe, but AI has imbued it with magic.
I will write about this life. The Computational Universe public account not only records the development of the Computational Universe but also documents the feelings of being an AI creator, focusing on companionship and reflection. Perhaps the time spent creating videos intensively in a day is long and tiring, but this creative process is truly magical.
